how do we book you in?
Once we have had an initial chat, and you are ready to lock me in, I will shoot through a quick questionnaire to get all the information about you I need for my booking system. You will also receive a formal quote to view and accept online, once the quote has been accepted and the questionnaire completed you will receive a welcome email from me, a contract to sign along with an invoice.
I require a 30% retainer payable upon booking and the remaining balance paid a week before the wedding. All retainers are non-refundable, date change fees may apply if needing to shift dates.

Do you travel interstate / internationally?
Yes, I love the opportunity to capture weddings at beautiful locations away from my home in Cairns.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?
In most areas around the cairns region I do not charge for travel, this includes Port Douglas, Mossman, The Tablelands area etc. any areas beyond roughly an hour trip from Cairns will generally incur travel fees, these are charged at cost price and quoted at time of booking with only flights subject to change.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE Should WE BOOK?
Most couples who are looking for a wedding photographer book me roughly 12-18 month in advance. By the end of the year I generally have most prime dates for weddings booked out the following year.
HOW LONG DO YOU STAY FOR AT WEDDINGS?
I arrive for the preparations of the bride and groom and remain up until the formalities of reception are finished (other than my elopement and Micro wedding options). Whilst I do not charge by the hour or have set hourly wedding packages I try to limit my average wedding day to about 10-11 hours so that I can remain sane haha!
DO YOU OFFER MIDWEEK OR OTHER DISCOUNTS?
, Generally speaking no, I do not offer any kind of discounts on my services other than a discount of a fine art wedding album for those who add one on before the wedding and occasional promotions of print products. I limit the total number of weddings I capture in a wedding season in Cairns, so regardless of the day of the week the wedding is there are only limited dates within the wedding season I will book in therefore I don’t offer any discounts.
WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I like keeping things really simple, right now I use a Leica Q2 and a Fuji X-PRO 3 which are amazing compact systems. The Leica Q2, which is my main workhorse is a small unintrusive camera that allows me to get super close to my subjects without causing to much camera anxiety for those in front of the lens.

When will we get our full gallery?
I aim to get the full gallery uploaded and to my clients within 4 weeks after the wedding. More often than not it is a bit quicker, however in some rare circumstances (usually in the height of peak wedding season) it may take just a little longer.
HOW will WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I always love to upload a sneak peek preview album of a few of my favourite photos within a day or two from the wedding. The entire gallery of your wedding photos once completed will be emailed to you as an online gallery. I utilise Pic-time which is an awesome online platform with some really great features and is super easy to use!
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
I do not cap the number of images I deliver to my clients. The number of images I deliver varies depending on a few variables such as guests numbers, location, how long is allocated to bridal party photos, how many are in the bridal party, what formalities are organised at the reception etc. Typically for most weddings I deliver between 800-1500 images.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP YOUR PHOTOS?
Generally speaking, no I do not Photoshop any of my wedding photos (unless asked, or unless there is something super distracting), I aim to take the best images out of camera possible for the most natural look, I do however colourise the photos ready for you to share to social media and ready for print!
CAN WE GET THE RAW FILES FROM YOU?
I consider what I do a kind of art, there is so much that goes into our work to produce the kind of results we do, that goes beyond just the raw images of your wedding day. A RAW image by itself is generally nothing special, I put allot of work in post-production and editing to make it look the way my photos do. I consider the RAW images unfinished canvases and just like any other artists this is not something I will release.
DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS AND PRITING OPTIONS?
YES! I offer fine art wedding albums and a wide range of printing options most of which are actually available to order directly from the gallery once delivered to make it super convenient for ordering. I also offer a discount to couples who book and pay for a wedding album in advance!
